HYRUM -- The Mountain Crest swim teams swept the Region 5 championships on Friday at the Stang Aquatic Center.

Hailey Pabst led the Mustangs with titles and a pair of Region 5 records.

The Mountain Crest boys dominated the meet, winning all but two events.

Anton Koponen and William Watts each claimed two boys titles for Mountain Crest.

Sky View finished second in both team chases with the Logan girls third, Box Elder fourth and Roy fifth.

Box Elder's boys were third, with Logan fourth and Roy fifth.

Wrestling

* BEES WIN TIGER-GRIZZ: At Idaho Falls, Idaho, the Box Elder wrestling squad rolled to an impressive win Saturday in the Tiger-Grizz Invitational.

The Bees finished ahead of three Idaho teams, with Layton fifth and Weber ninth overall.

Box Elder had weight-class wins from Jake Tolman (145 pounds), Rasten Yeates (152), Breckin Gunter (195) and Joe Flores (220), with Nick Sorenson second at 160.

Layton's Carlos Turner won at 285 pounts.

* HIGH COUNTRY CLASSIC: At Kamas, Wasatch edged Pleasant Grove and Mountain Crest for the High Country Classic title. Host South Summit was fourth, with Box Elder JV fourth and Clearfield eighth.

Clearfield's Christian Kodele was second att 113 pounds, while teammate Dakota Wickel was second at 220.

Box Elder's Matt Williams was second at 145 pounds.
