Riverton stopped Alta 65-59 in one quarterfinal at the Maverik Center early Thursday, then Brighton knocked off Region 4 champion
American Fork 59-53. Brighton is a No. 3 seed, while Riverton is a No. 4 seed.
In tonight's upper bracket, Region 1 champion Northridge meets Lone Peak, following the Bingham-West Jordan contest. West Jordan is the Region 3 champion.

St. Joseph dropped its second game at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield, losing 83-41 to Duchesne. Region 17 champion Layton Christian plays Tabiona in tonight's state 1-A boys basketball quarterfinals.
